MDM Migration
A utility construction company serving the southeast/southwest US that performs storm restoration and assistance to energy companies had a short deadline to migrate 8,000 devices to Microsoft Intune MDM platform before their WorkspaceOne license renewals.
Details
- Customer had limited resources to complete the large MDM migration project
- Moving to a new MDM platform required end user training as well as help desk training
- Customer had a short deadline to complete the change before the software renewal date
OVATION completed a VMware WorkspaceOne assessment and Microsoft Intune build. The Intune build was completed and tested within 3 weeks while all migration scenarios were built and tested within 2 weeks.
OVATION created helpdesk and end user documentation, provided Tier 1 helpdesk training and Tier 2 support during the migration. Migrations ran over a 3-month period starting with 200 devices/week and ramping up to over 600 devices/week.
The customer avoided over $375K in renewal costs, improved their security environment with conditional access, app protection policies, added mobile SSO for MS apps and Authentication for MFA. Less than 10% of their employees called into the help desk due to OVATION’s overall management of the project.
